Terms & Conditions

Trade Skills Ltd accepts firm bookings through the website, telephone by post and fax. In making such bookings all clients accept these 'Terms and Conditions' and ‘Bookings and Cancellations Policy’.

PAYMENT

Course fees are payable in full after a provisional booking has been made. A provisional booking is a booking made online or offline including the acceptance of Trade Skills Ltd booking policy. An invoice will be raised for every online and offline provisional booking made. An invoice sent to a business can be paid by debit card, credit card, cheque or BACS. If a provisional booking is made in the name of an individual and not a business payment is taken over the telephone by debit or credit card after the provisional booking has been made. A business paying by cheque or BACS should return payment in full after the provisional booking has been made. Places on courses and dates requested can not be confirmed or guaranteed until full payment has been received.
Please note: Credit card payments will incurr a 2.5% charge. Debit card payments will not incurr any additional charges.
The acceptance of a purchase order number is entirely at the discretion of Trade Skills Ltd. In the event Trade Skills Ltd agree to accept a purchase order number instead of payment in advance of the course this will confirm your place(s) on the course and therefore standard cancellation terms will apply. In the event Trade Skills Ltd will not accept a purchase order, full payment is required to confirm a place on a course. In the event course fees are not processed sucessfully full course fees will still apply. If payment is not received in full Trade Skills Ltd may pass the outstanding amount to a third party debt collection organisation at which point additional charges may be applied.

COURSE CANCELLATION

All cancellations must be made in writing prior to the commencement date of a course. Course cancellations made after a course has been paid for or confirmed by purchase order will be subject to a minimum administration fee of 30%. Where courses are cancelled between 30 and 15 days prior to course commencement a 50% fee will apply.  In the event of non-attendance or course cancellations received less than 15 days prior to course commencement date: full fees will be charged.
It is the responsibility of the client to confirm the arrival of a cancellation letter or fax. In the event that Trade Skills Ltd do not receive a letter or fax of cancellation giving the required notice then full course fees will be charged. PLEASE NOTE: Any deposits taken to secure spaces on a course are up to the discretion of Trade Skills and are non-returnable under any circumstance.

TRANSFER CHARGES

Notification is required in all instances and must be in writing. Where notice is received 28 days or more prior to course commencement date a 10% transfer fee will apply. Where notification is received between 27 and 14 days prior to course commencement a 25% transfer fee will apply. Where notice is received fewer than 14 days prior to course commencement full fees are payable.

FAILURE TO ADHERE AND OUT OF HOURS BOOKINGS

Please note all bookings made out of working hours Monday - Friday cannot be confirmed until the following day. Bookings made over a weekend or public holiday will be confirmed on the following working day. If you are booking a course to start the following day, you travel to the venue at your own risk and on the understanding that the course may not be available.
If clients fail to adhere to our policy then the client will be liable to make full payment of fees due. Trade Skills Ltd reserves the right to cancel or change course dates or venues at any time without liability. In these circumstances we will offer at our discretion alternative options, a credit note or a refund of fees paid. Trade Skills Ltd reserves the right to refuse any booking.
Trade Skills Ltd will not be held responsible for any financial loss incurred by a client relating to travel and hotel reservations or any other associated costs. Hotels and other accommodation is booked by the client at the clients own risk. If a training course is cancelled at short notice or a course venue is changed resulting in costs being incurred by the client Trade Skills Ltd will not be held liable.

COMPLAINTS AND ISSUES REGARDING TRAINING

Any problems or complaints during any of the courses we provide must be reported before any course/exam has been taken. Trade Skills can then take this up with the 3rd party training provider and resolve any issues at this point. Trade Skills will not be held liable or responsible for any delegate who chooses to participate in any exam or course and is unsuccesful.

BOOKS AND REVISION MATERIAL

Trade Skills Ltd is not responsible for any revision material that has not arrived by post for whatever reason. All revision material are posted to the registered users address, trade skills are not responsible for revision material sent to a previous or old address and is no longer occupied by the registered member where Trade Skills have not been updated of an address change.

ELEARNING COURSES (Including NVQ's and e-assesments)

eLearning courses are paid for in advance. Payment can be made over the telephone by debit or credit card (card charges will apply as specified above), cheque or BACS transfer. Trade Skills Ltd are unable to offer a refund after an eLearning course has been booked and paid for due to software licensing and examining body costs incurred after the booking has been made. Also online courses have no start date they are an immediate software licence and may be subject to a booking fee.

Specific Course and Third Party Requirements
Some courses may have very specific prerequisites or terms and conditions attached, for example, specific experience or qualifications might be necessary for some courses and health requirements might exist for certain practical courses. For courses being held at venues provided by you (In Company/Own venue courses) there may also be specific prerequisites, such as venue requirements and standards, maximum delegate numbers or requirements for you to supply plant, equipment or materials for the course. Where such prerequisites exist Trade Skills will advise to the best of our knowledge but will hold no responcibility once a booking has been made. All questions regarding any course and/or registration scheme should be made to Trade Skills ltd and any relevent governing bodies/authorities prior to any booking being made.

VAT, Credit and Debit Card Fees
VAT, Credit and Debit Card fees are charged to the customer in addition to the basic course costs. These fees will be clearly outlined during the booking process.

Quality of Service Provision
In using the Trade Skills web site you fully accept and understand that this is a portal to third party training providers. Whilst Trade Skills continuously monitors the quality of course being delivered by appointed Training Providers, we can not directly assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, products and services of providers and any other third-parties. We will, however, do everything practicably possible to resolve any quality issues arising from the use of our website to book your courses.

Privacy
We value your privacy and any personal information disclosed to us through the Trade Skills website, over the telephone or in any other way will only be collected, stored and processed as set on in our Privacy Policy.

Web Site Licensing, Access and Use
Use of the Trade Skills Ltd website includes, viewing the website, making bookings, reviewing bookings and changing bookings or transferring to links provided on the website. This website is for personal and noncommercial use. Any other use of the site requires written consent before use. You may only establish links to this website with prior written consent from Trade Skills Ltd.

The copyright of the material contained on the Trade Skills Ltd web site belongs to Trade Skills Limited or its Training Providers, as appropriate.

By using the Trade Skills Ltd website you agree not to access, monitor or copy information for your own commercial benefit or the benefit of another party or to use any data mining, robots, spiders, scrapers or other automated data gathering and extraction tools, without prior written permission. You also agree not to make any attempts to attack the infrastructure of the web site.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Access is further conditional on your agreement that any dispute or matter which arises will be dealt with by the Courts of England and Wales only to the exclusion of the Courts of any other country.

Changes and Updates to these Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time, and the terms and conditions prevailing at the time of booking will apply. Continued use of the Trade Skills web site indicates your agreement to them and any subsequent amendments.
