For those of you that are inexperienced within the industry, we advise you to do the 5 day version of the course as we cover the tougher aspects in greater depth to give you a better understanding:

Who is this course for?

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers

Is this qualification mandatory?

Yes! As from the 4th July 2011, anyone working within the industry must have this qualification or equivalent.

What happens if I dont do it?

It will be illegal for you to perform any work within the field. There will be relatively large fines for those who are caught doing so.

On the course, you will gain sufficient skills, knowledge and techniques to:

•    Fabricate & fit mechanical and brazed joints
•    Pressure test and evacuate to BSEN378
•    Charge a blended refrigerant
•    Analyse system performance to ensure efficiency (using pressure, temperature, refrigerant state and rule of thumb)
•    Leak test to EC1516/2007
•    Maintain ‘F Gas’ log books and records
•    Handle refrigerant safely & dispose of legally
•    Ensure systems are tight, efficient in their use of energy and meet the F Gas legal requirements
